We had to take the poem " I like my body when it's with your body" by Ee Cummings and make a response consisting of both photography and graphic design.
For the final response we made a book.
We decided to this because we felt it was the best way to combine both graphic design and photography. The book form also lets us easily set out the images and text in a sequence so it still tells the story of the poem.
To make the book we deconstructed the poem (in order) according to deferent body parts and bodily actions mentioned. We then took each part of the body and bought it to life through photography. We then set it in book form and added text on the page next to each image.
With regards to the type we decided to use "Minion Pro". The type is a serif based type. We wanted to use serif's because firstly it represents a classic style which represents how old the poem is. The serif's also depict form and structure with bodes well with our "body" theme.
